Jeff Flanegan

Jeff is a wood craftsman that can make and fix anything, having come from a background of many trades, and started woodworking over 30 years ago.

He is the owner, designer, creator, salesman, and everything else about the company. It all started with wood scraps and nails in his dad's small handyman shop; building small tables, chairs, and toys in the late 80's and early 90's, Inspired by his Grandfather's ability to make anything and the wooden toys his great uncle made him. In 1997 he took his first woodshop class and from there wanted to learn everything he could about the craft, taking every class available on the subject. In 2003 he attended art school at Grand Valley State University and began making reclaimed wood art as a starving artist. After spending his early 20's traveling the country and working in various industries, he started his first business - Custom Timber Works - in 2013, that mixed his abilities as an arborist with his woodworking desires, making hardwood jewelry and small furniture. After his time working as an Engineer, He was able to save enough money to buy professional tools and build a workshop in 2021. In 2024 he went full-time as a wood craftsman and started Twin Heron Studio.

Located in Kamm's Corners, Cleveland, Ohio, Twin Heron Studio was created to share functional and unique arts with others, and grow a business in their community that creates the finest handmade products.

A young pit-bull /lab is a snuggly little man and usually carries around multiple things to chew on at the same time; black walnut and maple scraps, a ball, maybe a sock or two or a bone he stashed last month.
